Glow Guide to Playa Vista // Runway
If you’ve never been to Playa Vista, now you have a reason to go. Only 1.5 miles from the Pacific Ocean, and known for its high concentration of successful start-ups, Playa Vista is heavily comprised of young, ambitious millennials a who live, work and play in the area.
Thanks to the Runway, Playa Vista has become a full blown lifestyle and wellness destination to fulfill the needs of glow-seeking individuals. All you want in one place; it’s pretty much glowy heaven.
Quickly emerging as the epicenter of culture for Playa Vista, you’ll feel inspired as soon as you enter. Runway has a state of-the-art cinema, seriously impressive Whole Foods, unique selection of restaurants and bars, leading beauty and fitness venues, retail shops, and all your daily-needs conveniences. Keep your eyes peeled for some up and coming glowiness; lots of programming and new wellness -focused tenants, such as the recent Lululemon pop-up.
Below we have outlined our perfect day at Runway; a Glow Guide for you to have the most incredible experience and leave feeling your absolute best.
We Waterless Wash: Pull into the parking lot and instead of dealing with parking, slide into a waterless car wash. Feed two birds with one scone and get your car washed to perfection while you enjoy your day at Runway.
Studio MDR: The Studio (MDR)™ brings the intensity of fitness guru Sebastien Lagree’s Pilates-inspired workout, to challenge your body and uplifting your mind. The Lagree Fitness workout is a total-body program that melds together elements of Pilates, cardio training and weight-bearing activity to create a revolutionary, one-of-a-kind exercise program. You will leave feeling longer, leaner and sore! We loved it.
Varnish Lab: After your workout, its time to chill and get pampered. This nail salon has a lovely atmosphere and is clean as can be. They offer array of nail and waxing services in an environment that’s part laid-back lounge and part girls’ night out.
lululemon Pop-Up: Walk on over to check out their schedule for events and wellness programming while you shop for your staple fitness items.
Da Kikokiko: With a name meaning “the spot” in Hawaiian, inside this casual but beautiful eatery you’ll find a modern take on poke and musubi with help from California’s farmers’ markets and flavor inspirations from Asia, Da Kikokiko provides a contemporary oasis for fresh, innovative seafood near the beach.
Nice Cream: This is possibly our new favorite ice cream place ever. They make organic gelato-style ice cream and sorbet in soft serve form. Our favorite flavors are the horchata and matcha green tea. YUM!
