Cozy Holiday Dinner with Haute Chefs LA x Chalkboard Mag
We had the utmost pleasure of hosting a cozy holiday dinner at Parachute Hotel's glowy digs with our friends The Chalkboard Mag. Haute Chefs LA provided us with a scrumptious, healthy menu that left us feeling satisfied and perfectly full. The setting was just divine for our cozy holiday dinner. Our friend Ariel, owner of Parachute Home bedding, opened the Parachute Hotel in Venice as a one-bedroom guest-house. This place is seriously as dreamy as it gets, glowy down to every last detail. We set up our tablescape in the vast living room, and made it cozy with candle-lights, brass hardware and vases, and overflowing florals. MJ Design did a stunning job, from the vines she hung over the dinner table, to the stunning wine-red colored floral centerpieces, to the little flower details in every corner. We were in heaven to say the least, and we haven't even got to the best part!
Chef Jeffrey Nimer and his wife Jen are the power duo Haute Chefs LA-- he covers the food and she brings it all together. We started off with delicious appetizers of delicata squash avocado toasts (a must-try!!), rose petal feta toasts, and sumac flatbreads. Onto the dinner, we had lovely farmer's market vegetable roasted salads, stuffed acorn squash, kale and quinoa citrus salad, quinoa cakes, and roasted fish. Last but not least we ended on a decadent flourless chocolate cake adorned with fresh florals and gold leaf. We definitely basked in the glow of this stunning food and candlelight.
Editor of The Chalkboard Suzanne brought her good vibes and party-planning pro tips. Check out their feature, as well as one of Haute Chefs LA's RAW RADISH SALAD WITH APRICOTS + SHANKLISH, here. And a special thanks to Winc for providing the bubbly for the evening.
Happiest Holidays to you all! Xx
