Ali Kay
Ali Kay is the hottest tomboy you'll ever lay your eyes on. Her healthy and active lifestyle is inspiring, and she's got a glow that you can't deny.When this gorgeous girl isn't tending to her hillside garden, or running her private label clothing manufacturing company, you can find her in a pick-up soccer or basketball game-- don't worry, it'll be easy to spot her as she'll be the only girl on the field! She plays every Saturday morning in Malibu. Ali graciously toured us through her impressive organic garden set amongst the breathtaking backdrop of Benedict Canyon. She's got a wonderful bunch of foods growing--we never knew that so many varieties of kale even existed! And we definitely have never seen such an amazing selection of fruit (think pomegranates, grapes and passion fruit) in one's own backyard! Picking fresh produce from this garden felt downright holy. Ali's adorable son Leon is one lucky little boy, his diet consists mostly of the homegrown fruits and vegetables from their garden. He often has ruby-stained cheeks as he can't get enough of the pomegranates!
Passionate about her health, Ali eats a completely clean, organic diet. Even her skincare routine is organic; a loyal customer to the Organic Pharmacy, she has just about every product they sell and swears that it has transformed her skin. We asked Ali how she stays so fit. Active by nature- she mixes up her workouts day by day so she never gets bored. But her favorite way to stay in shape has always been playing sports. You would never think that such a delicate looking beauty would also be a star athlete in just about every sport. Her favorite being basketball, Ali showed us some of her all star moves on the court. As gorgeous as Ali is, she is equally sweet, kind, and generous-- her glow radiates from within and warms all in her presence.

BREAKFAST: Acai bowl or a kale, blueberry, almond milk smoothie
LUNCH: Quinoa with mixed vegetables or a large salad

SNACK: Fresh fruits and/or vegetables... an apple, a few carrots or an avocado

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INDULGENCE? Coffee and Chai tea
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES/RESTAURANTS TO INDULGE? Toscana in Brentwood
WHAT WOULD BE YOUR LAST MEAL ON EARTH? Jasmine rice with mixed vegetables and a crispy salad, eaten together with some type of dressing on top, either ginger dressing or olive oil and vinegar. I have been eating hot rice with cold salad together in one bowl since I was in college and it’s my favorite.
WHAT IS THE BEST DISH YOU COOK/ YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE? For breakfast, I make delicious brown rice, flaxseed pancakes. For lunch and dinner, I make great quinoa with mixed vegetables or farro with onions and mushrooms, and also roasted rosemary potatoes.
WHERE DO YOU GROCERY SHOP IN LA? Usually the Farmer’s Market in Beverly Hills or Beverly Glen and Whole Foods in Beverly Hills. We also grow a lot of food in our garden and that’s my favorite to eat and cook with.
WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS REGIME? (HOW OFTEN & WHAT DO YOU DO) I do SoulCycle once or twice a week, play soccer or basketball once a week and workout with a trainer once or twice each week. Sometimes I do pilates and yoga but not regularly.
WHAT IS YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE? (PRODUCTS, FACIALS, ETC) All of my skin care products are from The Organic Pharmacy and I absolutely love them all. I do not get facials.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NATURAL MAKEUP/ BEAUTY PRODUCTS? I love the tinted moisturizer from the Organic Pharmacy and the rest of my make up is from Mac.

1. "One" by U2, featuring Mary J Blige, is all-time my favorite song.
2. Lately, when I think of music, what most readily comes to mind are the nursery rhymes and lullabies I constantly sing to my son, so the "Isty Bitsy Spider" and "Hush Little Baby" are my current favorites.
MOST LIFE-CHANGING BOOK? Way too many to choose one; I read a lot! From a health perspective, I would probably say The Blue Zones, but Buffett: “The Making of an American Capitalist” by Roger Lowenstein was the first book to spark my interest in business & finance, my Junior year of high school, so that is the one that was the most pivotal for me.
WHAT IS THE BEST GIFT YOU'VE EVER RECEIVED? My family, in its entirety.
DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY. My perfect day corresponds with my regular daily schedule, which is a pretty awesome reality! I take Leon, my son, to a class first thing in the morning, bring him home to nap, work the rest of the day and then take him to the park or to visit a friend after work. Next I’ll usually do some type of workout before having family dinner with my fiancé and my two amazing stepchildren, Talita & Tassilo (Leon eats dinner earlier than the rest of us). That is my perfect day.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE BEAUTY TIP/SECRET? To eat healthy, which I believe means to eat only things that occur naturally, ie. no processed or packaged foods- and the source of your food is important, so try and buy most food from local, organic farms, which is easiest to do at your local farmer’s market. Also drink a lot of water—not out of plastic bottles!
