Cafe Mogador

Cafe Mogador is a perfect establishment in our book--perfect food and perfect vibe. This ridiculously yummy Moroccan-Middle Eastern restaurant is the type of place you can go for breakfast, lunch and dinner, any (or every!) day of the week.  The original Cafe Mogador is on St. Marks in the East Village of NYC. It is an Israeli-run neighborhood staple, and if you live in the East Village, chances are that you're already a regular at this hip, cozy, no-frills spot. A newer, bigger and airier location has since opened in Williamsburg. With a gorgeous garden area, a beautifully designed bar, and the same mouth-watering food, this location is the absolute best neighborhood hang. Believe us when we tell you, this place is heaven.

The Middle-Eastern Breakfast is not to be missed: two eggs any style (over-easy//poached are our favorites), Israeli salad, tabouli, hummus, and Za'atar pita (... this pita...SO SO SO good), served with homemade spicy harissa. The Halumi Eggs are another star item, as well as the Greek Salad with grilled chicken and the spicy carrots. Make sure to order the traditional Moroccan Fresh Mint Tea--perfectly sweet and refreshing. You literally cannot go wrong here, we promise.

During our visit to Williamsburg we had the absolute pleasure of brunching at Mogador with Isa Brito, the gorgeous and captivating homeopathic goddess & photographer. She brought us some goodies from her homemade skincare product line-- Isa's Restoratives--to try, and told us stories about her adventurous life-story of coming to NYC from Brazil without knowing a soul. Stay tuned for her full feature coming soon!
