Almost every one of our days start with this smoothie bowl! Creating a meal out of a smoothie by adding your favorite fruit, nuts and toppings will satisfy and energize you without weighing you down. You can customize it however you want, swapping out ingredients with what’s fresh or what you have lying around the kitchen. And it’s a great way to practice a bit of mindfulness in the morning as you take the time to think about each ingredient and how they’ll work together. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
The green smoothie bowl pictured here is incredibly healthy, delicious and literally the easiest thing in the world to make.
1.) Stir chia seeds into a cup of either almond milk, coconut milk or coconut water and then pour into blender
2.) Add a chopped frozen banana, a handful of frozen pineapple and mango, a handful of spinach or kale, and a pitted date or two for sweetness
3.) Blend until thick and smooth, adding more liquid if needed, then pour blended ingredients into a bowl
4.) Assemble your masterpiece with your favorite seeds, nuts, dried or fresh fruits
5.) For a treat, add a sprinkle of granola and drizzle a little honey on top
