Simone De La Rue is the namesake behind BBS– Body By Simone, that is. Her revolutionary exercise studios have the BEST vibes, providing intense workouts centered around dance, toning, good music and trampolines (!!!). We’re totally following Simone’s lead to get glowing, long lean bodies…

Body By Simone provides an exclusive, private boutique environment where clients can feel comfortable, safe and at ease while achieving the best possible results. The LA studio in particular is a second-floor, open and airy space that is really like a fitness oasis.

We LOVE Simone. She herself is a down-to-earth chick who just has an incredible energy to her, and we’re seriously drinking her cool aid. Her classes are crazy hard but she seamlessly builds them in a way that makes them super enjoyable and fast-paced. She’s there alongside you to motivate, support and push you beyond your perceived limitations.

WHERE DID YOU GROW UP: Australia

WHEN YOU ARE EATING HEALTHY, WHAT IS A TYPICAL…

BREAKFAST: Banana berry smoothie. Vanilla pea protein with frozen banana frozen berries and almond milk.  A pot of green tea.

LUNCH: Turkey lettuce sliders with a green juice.

DINNER: Wild caught sesame salmon.

SNACK: Hummus and carrots and a handful of almonds.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SPOTS/RESTAURANTS TO EAT HEALTHY? I am currently obsessed with My Fit Foods here in West Hollywood, easy pre made meals that have the right amount of protein and carbs to fuel ones day. I also love Fresh Corn Grill, their fish tacos are the best. Tender Greens kale salad with chicken is beyond delicious and Pressed Juicery has the best green juice, I love number 2.  All of these are literally a few steps away from my studio, there really is no excuse for not eating well. 

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INDULGENCE? CHOCOLATE!!!!! For breakfast, lunch and dinner! I love Lindt milk chocolate.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE PLACES/RESTAURANTS TO INDULGE?  In NYC my favorite is Locanda Verde. Their roast chicken for 2 is to die for! And the sheeps milk ricotta is a little taste of heaven.

WHAT WOULD BE YOUR LAST MEAT ON EARTH? I have a huge sweet tooth so it would have to be chocolate peanut butter icecream. Soho House also do a pretty mean chocolate chip cookie that is warm and melts in your mouth!

WHAT IS THE BEST DISH YOU COOK/ YOUR FAVORITE RECIPE? It’s no fun cooking for one so I don’t cook that often but when I do I like to steam a fillet of fish, either sea bass or halibut and prepare a simple arugula and avocado salad with goats cheese and sliced almonds.

WHERE DO YOU GROCERY SHOP IN LA? Trader Joe’s, its right next to the studio.

WHAT IS YOUR FITNESS REGIMEN? (HOW OFTEN & WHAT DO YOU DO) Well outside of teaching or training private clients, sometimes 5 hours a day, I don’t have the time or energy to do anything else. I workout alongside my clients so this keeps me in shape.

WHAT IS YOUR SKINCARE ROUTINE? (PRODUCTS, FACIALS, etc) I am currently using Goldfaden MD products. The scrub and face peal are amazing. I have a lot of sun damage from growing up in Australia so I need to remember sun screen every morning under my moisturizer. 

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE NATURAL MAKEUP/ BEAUTY PROUCTS? My mum sends me from Australia a lavender oil face cream that smells so beautiful and really replenishes your face of moisture. I love it as it reminds me of home.

IF YOU WERE STRANDED ON A DESERT ISLAND, WHAT 3 PRODUCTS WOULD YOU TAKE WITH YOU?

1. Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo, cant live without it.

2. Paula’s Choice SPF 50 to protect my face against the sun

3. Luca’s Papaw Ointment the best ointment for burns, chafing, cuts and cracked skin.

WHAT PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY/FITNESS/HEALTHY GURUS DO YOU SWEAR BY? I love Lindsay Block, she is my hair stylist and the best! Pati Dubroff is a pretty kick ass make up artist.  

TOP 3 FAVORITE SONGS? They are constantly changing. Right now I cant get enough of LATCH by Disclosures and Animals by Martin Garrix.  All time favorite is I KNOW WHAT YOU WANT, by Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey and CHANGES by 2pac and talent.

MOST LIFE-CHANGING BOOK? Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra.

WHAT IS THE BEST GIFT YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED? A vacation. I am all about the experience. Much more enjoyable than a material object.

DESCRIBE YOUR PERFECT DAY. Wake up early and workout at my studio, followed by all you can eat brunch at soho house. Walking off the brunch along the beach in Malibu. Having a massage to put my body back together, and then watching a movie in bed snuggled up with my little dog Powder. Heaven!!

WHAT IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE BEAUTY TIP/SECRET? Sleep!!!!!! It keeps you young!

WHAT MAKES YOU GLOW? Teaching a packed class at either my NYC or LA studio. I love helping others reach their health and fitness goals.
