Even if you can't make it during fall, simply put, Montreal is without a doubt foodie heaven, and to us that's as good as it gets!

WHERE TO STAY:

Hotel Le St. James // Situated in historic Old Montreal, this place has everything going for it. The service and staff are impeccable!! The hotel itself is stunning, and the perfect cozy oasis to return to after a day of exploring. The price tag is high, but you definitely get what you pay for.

FOOD:

Cafe Parvis // This cafe is the perfect place to meet a friend for coffee, kombucha, a drink... and a little snack. It has a really unique interior and an outdoor seating area filled with plants.

Cafe Myriade // Dope coffee shop with locally sourced ingredients and a cool men's boutique inside. Glowtip: This is where the cute boys hang out.

St-Viateur Bagels // Absolutely no preservatives whatsoever and 100% natural ingredients-- Made the same way since 1957, each bagel is hand-rolled, boiled in honey water, and cooked in a wood fired oven that was designed to both cook and flavor the bagel. What comes out of this process is a chewy, slightly sweet bagel with sesame seeds. Make sure to eat it hot out of the oven!

La Vieille Europe // Wonderful specialty food store and market. Great selection of coffee, chocolate and glowy food products.

Schwartz's Deli // THE place for smoked meat! Your mouth will water as soon as you step inside and smell what's cooking. Be prepared to wait in line or grab a sandwich at the to-go.

The Cardinal Tea Room // Walk upstairs to find this stunning tea room. Live piano plays as you sip tea and eat cozy snacks. They have an extensive selection of teas-- the soy chai was delicious as was everything we ordered (house salad, quiche and sandwiches all hit the spot.)

Restaurant L'express // Great French bistro with a really pretty bar. A huge jar of cornichon pickles and delicious bread and butter await you. Don't miss the steak frites or the roasted quail.

Jean Talon Market // Located in Little Italy, Jean-Talon Market is known for its numerous local fruit and vegetable vendors as well as the cultural diversity of its shopkeepers. It is one of the largest public markets in North America and its atmosphere is lively in both summer and winter. It feels like a little village!
