Fala Bar
Eat + Drink, How To Glow

Always Vegan. Always Fresh. Always Organic. This tiny Mediterranean joint in West Hollywood has some seriously good eats, with a healthy menu crafted by a holistic nutritionist.

Fala Bar is a vegan falafel, sandwich, and salad bar featuring traditional Middle Eastern cuisine with a healthy twist. The menu is entirely vegan, organic, dairy free, nut free and gluten free (with the exception of their pita bread) and is hand-crafted by a holistic health coach, Gina Ragnone. We met up with her at the well-crafted spot, where she explained to us the FALA philosophy.

The difference is all in the “FALA” vibes– they make the healthiest decisions in everything from their sourcing to cooking to materials. Their produce is 100% organic and local; their cutlery and containers are eco friendly and biodegradable; and they use grape seed oil to fry the falafels (which has a high smoking point). At Fala Bar, you get a sense that you can trust that you’re getting food that is truly healthy and prepared in the best way possible. No chemicals, no preservatives, no GMOs.

Their falafels are fantastic, with 5 flavors to choose from including Kale, Crunchy, Spicy, Sweet Potato, and Original. They offer baked versions of the original and sweet potato too, upon request. Their Fala Me to KALEifornia definitely makes our list for one of the top kale salads in the city– it’s filled with lemonly kale, garbanzo beans, quinoa, purple cabbage, shredded carrots, avocado, sunflower sprouts, micro greens, lemon wedge, hummus, and your choice of falafels on top. It’s a huge salad that is super filling and super nutritious. Their Fala Sandwich is a great option if you’re looking for some pita sandwich goodness, and Gigi’s Snack Cup is a seriously satisfying snack cup filled with hummus, brussels sprouts, quinoa tabouli and topped with a falafel.

They’ve even got a convenient Grab N’Go fridge, filled with salads, sides, and (our favorite) ice cold young coconuts. They crack them fresh for you, and even scoop out the meat when you’re done drinking it… #glowy perfection.
